About

The Health & Adult Social Care Scrutiny Panel scrutinises local health services and public health services commissioned by the Council and Health and Wellbeing Boards. It contributes to the continuous improvement of health services and those impacting health.

The panel responds to consultations from NHS bodies, considers matters referred by Healthwatch, and can make reports and recommendations to NHS bodies and the Council. It has the power to require NHS bodies and health providers to provide information, attend meetings, and consult with local authorities, with responses expected within fixed timescales.
