About

The Licensing Committee is responsible for the Council's functions as a Licensing Authority under the Licensing Act 2003, with the exception of setting the overall licensing policy. It can establish sub-committees to handle specific licensing matters and oversees the Council's licensing activities. The committee also has the power to designate public areas within the Borough where the consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
