About

The Cabinet is responsible for the majority of the council's day-to-day decisions, proposing the policy framework and budget to the full Council, and then implementing them. It also leads on community planning and the pursuit of best value.

Decisions can be made collectively or individually by Cabinet members, with specific roles assigned through 'portfolios'. These decisions are recorded and made public. The Cabinet oversees areas including finance, legal services, housing, operational services, community and leisure, and performance and administration, impacting residents through the services delivered.
