Cabinet

The Cabinet is responsible for providing political leadership and overseeing the council's key strategies and programmes. It comprises 7 Lead Councillors, each responsible for specific areas of council work and strategy. Their roles include understanding service objectives, building relationships with officers and external organisations, and staying informed on national policy. The Cabinet collectively leads the implementation of major strategies, such as the Climate Change strategy, ensuring it influences the council's planning and delivery across all its functions.
