The Local Pension Board assists the London Borough of Havering as the Scheme Manager for the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Its primary role is to ensure compliance with LGPS regulations, other relevant legislation, and requirements from the Pensions Regulator regarding the governance and administration of the fund.

The Board works to secure the effective and efficient management of the Havering Pension Fund. It provides necessary information to the Scheme Manager and ensures no conflicts of interest exist among its members. The Board must meet regularly to effectively discharge its duties.
