The Cabinet is Lambeth Council's primary executive decision-making body, responsible for all executive functions except those delegated elsewhere or reserved for the full Council. It collectively makes decisions, proposes the budget and policy framework, and publishes a forward plan of key decisions. The Cabinet implements council policies and spending, provides political direction, monitors performance, and ensures accountability to the Council and Overview and Scrutiny Committee. It can establish committees or advisory panels to discharge specific functions or review issues, but these advisory bodies do not make decisions.
