About

The Planning and Development Control Committee is responsible for the Council's development control functions and non-executive highways duties, excluding those handled by the Licensing and Public Safety Committee. While most matters are delegated to the Director of Planning, Development and Transportation, the committee reserves certain key responsibilities. These include decisions on matters of strategic significance, reviewing and advising on planning policies, recommending bye-laws, and making opposed regulations, orders, plans, and schemes within its remit.
