The LCR Innovation Zone Programme Management Board provides
strategic leadership, oversight and scrutinises the performance of
the LCR Life Sciences Innovation Zone Programme and the LCR
Freeport Programme.
What is the LCR Life Sciences
Innovation Zone Programme?
The Liverpool City Region is home to two UK-leading sciences
and innovation districts, making it one of Europe’s largest
bio-manufacturing clusters and centres of health and life science.
The LCR Life Sciences Innovation Zone is a 10-year programme to
support 20 projects that promise to deliver world-class facilities,
developing new strengths and clusters and driving jobs and growth
across the region.
Further information about the LCR Life Sciences Innovation
Zone can be found here.
What is a Freeport?
Freeports are areas within the UK’s borders where
different economic regulations apply. By delivering investment on
specific sites benefiting from tax and customs incentives,
freeports could create thousands of high-quality jobs in some of
our most disadvantaged communities.
If you wish to find out more about the LCR Freeport, further
information can be found here.
Membership of the Board
The membership of the Board is made up of public, private and
