About

The Communities and Equalities Scrutiny Committee examines how council decisions, policies, and services, along with those of other public bodies, affect Manchester's residents, with a particular focus on cohesion, equality, and inclusion. It does not make decisions but can recommend improvements to ensure services meet the needs of all diverse residents. The committee challenges public services to work collaboratively to make Manchester a safe city and ensures services are equally accessible to all. Areas of interest include advice services, domestic violence, crime and policing, libraries, leisure, and sport.
