About

The Personnel Committee is responsible for key decisions regarding council staffing and terms of employment. It considers department staffing and organisational reviews, determines collective and corporate terms and conditions for staff, and sets 'market rate' supplements. The committee also decides on the assignment and re-grading of certain posts and policies related to local government pensions. While most of its business is open to the public, confidential matters are considered at the end of meetings, with the public asked to leave.
