About
The Newham Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for ensuring coordinated local health and social care services, strengthening democratic oversight of the NHS. It produces the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and a Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy, guiding commissioning plans for local NHS, health improvement, and social care services. The Board also assesses pharmaceutical needs and promotes integrated working between health and social care commissioners, considering factors that impact public health. It receives reports on safeguarding matters and agrees strategic outcomes and performance targets.
