About

The North East Derbyshire Planning Committee is responsible for deciding on planning applications, listed building consent, and other regulatory planning matters for the council. It meets regularly to consider complex or major applications.

The committee's decisions are made public. The council has a procedure allowing specific individuals and groups, including applicants, ward members, parish councils, MPs, and up to three supporters and three objectors who have made prior representations, to speak at meetings. Each speaker has a limited time to present their case and may be questioned by committee members.
