About

The Development Management Committee is responsible for making decisions on planning applications and other development-related matters within Rushmoor Borough. It exercises powers under the Town Planning Act 1990 and the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 to control development. The committee determines applications for planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area consent, advertisement consent, lawful development certificates, and hazardous substances consent. It also handles planning enforcement, unauthorised development, and appeals. Additionally, the committee advises the Cabinet on local plan matters and manages council powers concerning listed buildings, conservation areas, and tree preservation.
