Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Rushmoor and are not the council. About us
The Development Management Committee of Rushmoor Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday 17 June 2026 to discuss a range of planning applications and review the performance of the Development Management Section. A key item on the agenda is a significant outline planning application for the redevelopment of Cody Technology Park and Ball Hill, which proposes extensive new employment floorspace.
Planning Applications for Determination
The committee is set to consider a major outline planning application, reference 25/00537/OUTPP, for the Land at Cody Technology Park and Ball Hill, Ively Road, Farnborough
. This application seeks permission for a phased development involving the demolition of existing buildings and the erection of new flexible use employment floorspace, including for data centres. The proposal, which would be subject to a Section 106 agreement, aims to regenerate the site and provide up to 143,000 square metres of new floorspace. The report details extensive consultation responses from various bodies, including Hampshire County Council Highways, National Highways, the Environment Agency, and Farnborough Airport, highlighting considerations around traffic impact, environmental protection, and aviation safety. The recommendation is to grant permission subject to the completion of a satisfactory legal agreement and a series of conditions.
Additionally, the committee will receive information on several other planning applications that are scheduled for future meetings or have been determined under the council's scheme of delegation. These include applications at Block 3 Queensmead, Manor Park Cottage, Farnborough Airport, Nos. 235-237 High Street in Aldershot, the former Geneva House site, and Warwick House.
Planning (Development Management) Summary Report
The committee will also receive Report No. PG2612, which provides an update on the performance indicators for the Development Management Section of Planning for the period of January to March 2026. This report details the workload of the section, including the determination of major, minor, and other planning applications, as well as appeal decisions. It outlines the performance against government targets for decision-making times and provides figures on application submissions, determinations, and enforcement cases. The report also includes financial information regarding planning fee income and Section 106 contributions.
The meeting is scheduled to commence at 7:00 pm at the Council Offices, Farnborough.
