The Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct among councillors and co-opted members of St. Helens Council. It considers and determines alleged breaches of the Council's Code of Conduct, and advises the Council on the adoption and revision of its local code of conduct. The committee's decisions can impact the reputation and integrity of the council and its members.
