The Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee represents the wards of Bramhall North, Bramhall South & Woodford, and Cheadle Hulme South. It considers certain planning applications, with councillors able to call in applications typically handled by officers. Members of the public can speak for three minutes for or against planning applications.
The committee also administers £3000 per ward for community projects, allowing local groups to apply for funding. It holds an 'Open Forum' for community groups to present issues affecting the local area. The public can ask questions on matters within the committee's powers, excluding legal or confidential issues.
