Planning Committee

The Planning Committee is responsible for decisions on town and country planning and development control matters within Thurrock, including determining planning applications. Elected councillors meet publicly to decide whether to approve or refuse applications, with opportunities for the public to attend, listen, and speak before decisions are made. The committee also includes two non-voting co-opted members representing trade and commerce, and heritage and conservation interests.
