The Housing Management (Cabinet) Sub-Committee, chaired by the Mayor, is responsible for all aspects of the Council's landlord housing management function. It focuses on ensuring the safety of residents in council-owned homes and involving residents in shaping services. The Sub-Committee's decisions are made solely by the Mayor, with other Cabinet members able to attend as substitutes. Industry experts can be co-opted to provide specialist advice on finance, compliance, customer services, and asset management.
