The Cabinet decided to approve the Mayor's Accelerated Housing Programme recommendations on 15/07/2026. The decision approved the Planning Equalisation Strategy, capital budgets for 10 housing schemes totalling £143,235,790, and the Procurement Strategy. The Cabinet also authorised the Corporate Director of Housing and Regeneration to finalise details with the LPA and GLA, agree tender forms, procure delivery partners, and instruct contract awards.

The Cabinet approved the Supplemental Enforcement Policy and the Policy on Civil Penalties under the Renters' Rights Act 2025. These policies set out how the council will implement new enforcement powers and manage enquiries arising from the Act. The decision was made on 15/07/2026.

The Cabinet decided to approve recommendations regarding the Waste Reception, Treatment and RRC Service Contract's future contracting approach on 15/07/2026. The decision was made to ensure continuity of service provision for waste treatment and disposal. The contract includes an extension provision, and the council is making an early decision on the length of this extension.

The Cabinet of Tower Hamlets agreed to award the General Build Measured Term Contract to B&M McHugh on 27/03/2026. This decision approves the contract for planned building works, projects, and reactive repair services for the Council’s building fabric and parks infrastructure.

The Cabinet of Tower Hamlets approved funding for wraparound childcare on 27/03/2026. This decision will result in 804 new wraparound places and the awarding of £870,538.96 in grants to local providers. The decision also noted the methodology for assessing applications and funding decisions, and the equalities impact screening.
