About

The Waltham Forest Cabinet is responsible for discharging most of the council's functions, implementing its policies, and managing the majority of the budget. It makes recommendations on major policy and resource matters to the full Council for decision.

The Cabinet provides political direction and guidance to the executive part of the council and monitors its performance. It is also politically accountable for the council's performance to the Council and its Overview and Scrutiny Committees, and works to improve the council's partnerships with other bodies.
