About
The Shareholder Committee represents Waltham Forest Council's interests as a shareholder in companies where the Council has ownership. It ensures these companies act in the Borough's best interests and contribute to council objectives.
The committee considers and approves company documentation, including shareholder agreements, and provides consent for matters requiring shareholder approval. It reviews and agrees annual business plans, monitors company performance against these plans, and makes recommendations to the Cabinet regarding investments, asset transfers, or lending to companies.
