About

The Children, Education and Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee monitors decisions made by the Cabinet, advises the Council on upcoming decisions, and reviews and develops policy. It can also 'call in' Cabinet decisions before they are implemented to review concerns about how they were made.

This committee holds decision-makers to account and contributes to policy development by providing scrutiny before decisions are finalised. Its work is governed by the Council's Constitution.
