The Eastern Area Planning Committee of Wiltshire Council was scheduled to consider a planning application for a permanent rural worker's dwelling. The committee was also due to receive updates on planning appeals.

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Wednesday 7 January 2026 10.30 am

Wiltshire Council's extraordinary meeting on 7 January 2026 saw a significant debate on the proposed disposal of St Stephen's Multi-Storey Car Park in Trowbridge, which was ultimately defeated by a tied vote. Councillors also discussed and approved an extension to the council tax premium on long-term empty homes, but rejected a proposal to introduce a premium on second homes.

Eastern Area Planning Committee - Thursday 4 December 2025 3.00 pm

The Eastern Area Planning Committee met to discuss planning appeals and a reserved matters application for land north of Marshall Road, Devizes. The committee approved the minutes from the previous meeting and then approved the reserved matters application, which concerned the appearance, landscaping, layout, and scale of a housing development.

Pewsey Area Board - Monday 24 November 2025 7.00 pm

The Pewsey Area Board meeting included a workshop on food insecurity, updates from the chairman, and a review of funding applications and highway improvement projects. The board was also scheduled to note the minutes from the Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG) meeting held on 22 October 2025.

Eastern Area Planning Committee - Thursday 6 November 2025 3.00 pm

The Eastern Area Planning Committee met on 6 November 2025, and agreed to forward the Wiltshire Council Parish of Wilcot and Huish with Oare Path No.32A Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025 to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (SoSEFRA) with a recommendation that it is confirmed with modification. The modification relates to the width of the footpath.
