About

The Appointment Committee is responsible for determining the arrangements for appointing the Council's Chief Executive and Executive Directors, as well as their conditions of service, in line with the Council's Constitution. It makes recommendations to the full Council for the appointment of candidates to these statutory roles, which can include the Chief Executive or Chief Financial Officer. This committee meets only when a vacancy arises and its decisions are made by five councillors, including the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Council.
