Filming in Cardiff Inquiry Monitoring: Progress Update

A progress update is expected on the implementation of the Cabinet's response to the recommendations made in the Economy & Culture Scrutiny Committee's January 2025 inquiry report, 'Filming in Cardiff'. The committee previously explored how Cardiff Council could encourage and facilitate filming in the city, enhance income generation, reduce costs, and maximise benefits for local people and the economy. The Cabinet's response, agreed in July 2025, saw nine recommendations fully accepted, four partially accepted, and one rejected. The update will detail the progress made in implementing these accepted and partially accepted recommendations.

Correspondence Update

The committee is expected to receive an update on correspondence sent and received since the previous meeting. This includes a list of letters sent by the Chair, Councillor Peter Wong, to relevant Cabinet Members and officers, along with the responses received or awaited.
