The Economy & Culture Scrutiny Committee met on 20 January 2026 to review the progress of the Central South Active Partnership and to begin a short scrutiny of Cardiff Council's allotment provision. Key decisions included the approval of terms of reference for a new inquiry into improving the daytime experience of Cardiff city centre users and the confirmation of membership for this task group.

Economy & Culture Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 16th December, 2025 4.30 pm

The Economy & Culture Scrutiny Committee of Cardiff Council are scheduled to meet on 16 December 2025 to discuss the Cardiff Riding School, the Euros 2028, and the Regeneration Strategy. They will also be receiving an update on the Corporate Joint Committee Joint Overview & Scrutiny Committee, and discussing the Place Based Economic Interventions Task & Finish Group Inquiry draft report.

Council - Thursday, 27th November, 2025 4.30 pm

The Cardiff Council met on 27 November 2025, and approved sending the Replacement Local Development Plan to the Welsh Government for independent examination. Councillors also agreed to launch a public consultation on introducing a visitor levy in the city.

The Licensing Committee of Cardiff Council convened on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, to discuss the review of the Statement of Licensing Policy and to approve the minutes from their previous meeting. The main focus of the meeting was scheduled to be the consideration of a new Statement of Licensing Policy, with a view to launching a public consultation.
