The North Bucks Community Board was scheduled to discuss priorities related to ageing well and community transport. The meeting's agenda also included updates on scam awareness and Neighbourhood Watch initiatives.

Community Board Priorities Update

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to an update on the Community Board's priorities, with a particular focus on Ageing Well. Several guest attendees were scheduled to present on various aspects of this priority.

Sally Dixon and Emma Lancaster, North Bucks INT Social Prescribers, along with Janine Beattie, North Bucks Digital & Transformation Lead, were expected to provide an update on Social Prescribing in North Bucks. Lucie Smith, Public Health Principal, was scheduled to discuss the Ageing Well Strategy, focusing on the factors that contribute to a healthy ageing process.

Colette Whyte and Ruth Cox from Age UK Buckinghamshire were due to present on Age Better Bucks, which includes a new prevention service aimed at addressing barriers to help people age well. Charlotte Bryning, Integration Lead for North Bucks, was scheduled to provide an update on the Integrated Neighbourhood Team. Additionally, Vinesh Mistry GP from Swan Practice was to discuss Proactive Care Clinics and Neighbourhood Priorities, and Emma Vye, Executive Manager at Swan Practice, was to give an update on Lace Hill Health Centre.

Under the Community Transport priority, Frank Donlon of the 3W Health Patient Participation Group and Vron Corben of Winslow Big Society were scheduled to discuss GP Patient Car Transport Guides.

Scam Awareness and Neighbourhood Watch

The meeting was also scheduled to include presentations on scam awareness and Neighbourhood Watch. Buckinghamshire & Surrey Trading Standards were expected to deliver a presentation on scam awareness and fraud prevention, highlighting common scam methods and preventative measures. The structure, purpose, and benefits of Neighbourhood Watch were also to be outlined, with information on establishing new schemes and best practices for dealing with suspicious activity.

Other Updates

The meeting was also scheduled to note updates on the ongoing consultation for the draft Local Transport Plan 5, an upcoming Community Boards Community Connections webinar with the passenger transport team, updated cycling infrastructure information for Buckingham, and the Proud of Bucks 2026 awards.
