Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Northumberland and are not the council. About us
The Cramlington, Bedlington & Seaton Valley Community Partnership was scheduled to consider a petition regarding pedestrian and cycle access to Northumberlandia and to receive updates on various community initiatives. The meeting was also scheduled to include a drop-in event with stalls from Northumbria Police, Northumberland Library Service, and representatives discussing the council's budget consultation, warmer homes initiatives, and town regeneration.
Safe Pedestrian and Cycle Access to Northumberlandia
The partnership was scheduled to receive an update on a petition requesting safe pedestrian and cycle access to Northumberlandia. This petition was received online on 17 June, and information on the signature total was awaited in preparation for a report from officers.
Drop-In Event
A drop-in event was scheduled to take place, featuring stalls from several organisations. These included:
- Northumbria Police: Providing information and addressing community concerns.
- Northumberland Library Service: Offering details on library services and resources.
- Northumberland County Council Budget Consultation: Allowing residents to learn about and provide input on the council's budget.
- Northumberland County Council Warmer Homes: Offering advice and information on energy efficiency and home insulation schemes.
- Borderlands and Town Regeneration: Presenting information on initiatives aimed at improving local town centres and economic development.
The agenda also included standard procedural items such as apologies for absence, the confirmation of previous meeting notes, and the disclosure of members' interests, in line with the council's Code of Conduct1. Public question time was also scheduled, with provisions for questions received in writing in advance of the meeting.
