Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth SPF Programme Performance and Commissioning Report
The Board was scheduled to receive a report detailing the performance and commissioning of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Programme. This report was expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the programme's delivery and impact over its four-year period (2022-2026).
The report was scheduled to highlight the programme's achievements, including the total investment of £186.292 million from the SPF, which leveraged an additional £82.696 million in match funding. It was anticipated that the report would detail the support provided to 974 projects, benefiting 771 businesses and organisations. Key outcomes were expected to include the creation of 784 jobs, the safeguarding of 590 jobs, and over 7,300 individuals gaining qualifications or completing courses. The report was also scheduled to outline the environmental benefits, such as the creation or improvement of 48 hectares of green and blue space and an estimated reduction of 38,528 tonnes of CO2e emissions.
Furthermore, the report was scheduled to detail the programme's closure arrangements, including financial reconciliation, project closure activities, governance requirements, and ongoing monitoring obligations. It was also expected to provide information on the legacy of the programme, including ongoing initiatives such as the Screen Cornwall Equity Production Investment (SCEPI) and the Beacon Fund. The report was to be accompanied by appendices detailing the Cornwall Development and Decision Wheel, key programme figures, and the Board's Terms of Reference.
The report was expected to recommend that the Board note the successful delivery and completion of the programme, recognise the economic, social, and environmental benefits delivered, and endorse the programme closure arrangements. It was also anticipated that the report would note that this would be the final meeting of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Prosperity Board.
