The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority Appointments Panel met on Tuesday 20 January 2026 to discuss key appointments within the authority. The panel identified Lee Sirdifield as the preferred candidate for the Chief Executive role and made decisions on shortlisting candidates for other senior positions.

Chief Executive Appointment

The panel unanimously agreed to recommend Lee Sirdifield as the preferred candidate for the role of Chief Executive. This decision followed a review of interviews and consideration of candidate suitability.

Director of Operations and Strategy and Director of Resources Shortlisting

Decisions were made regarding the shortlisting of candidates for the Director of Operations and Strategy and Director of Resources positions. Five candidates were selected for the Director of Operations and Strategy role and invited to interview. For the Director of Resources post, only one candidate was deemed to meet the required experience and was invited to interview.

Head of Governance Vacancy

As no applications were received for the Head of Governance position, the panel resolved to re-advertise the vacancy.

Delegation of Authority

The panel agreed to delegate authority to the Mayor, Dame Andrea Jenkyns DBE, and the Interim Chief Executive to agree on appropriate presentation topics and interview questions for candidates applying for the Director of Strategy and Operations and Director of Governance roles.

The meeting was attended by Mayor Dame Andrea Jenkyns DBE (Chair), Councillor R Gibson, Councillor S Shreeve, and Councillor R Waltham MBE. Officers in attendance included Nicola Calver (Member Services Manager), Alison Miller (Resourcing Manager), Vicki Sharpe (Deputy Head of People), and Emily Wilcox (Senior Democratic Services Officer), all from Lincolnshire County Council. The meeting concluded at 5.21 pm.

The minutes of the previous meeting held on 14 January 2026 were approved as a correct record. The panel also resolved to exclude the press and public from the meeting for the consideration of exempt information relating to the appointments.

The decisions made were recorded with a unanimous vote in favour from all four attendees.
