The Marple Area Committee decided to approve the diversion of Footpath 91 Bredbury and Romiley on 11 March 2026. The order will be made in accordance with the Highways Act 1980, Section 119, to divert the footpath from its current route to a new route shown on a plan. If objections are made and not resolved, the order will be forwarded to the Secretary of State for confirmation; otherwise, it will be confirmed by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and the diverted route added to the Definitive Map and Statement.

The Marple Area Committee decided to approve the legal advertising of an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order for a School Street Scheme at St. Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy. This order will prohibit driving on Lowry Drive, Marple Bridge, except for permit holders, during specific school drop-off and pick-up times. Advance warning signs will be in place at the entrance to Lowry Drive.

The Marple Area Committee decided to approve an application from Marple Runners to hold their 10th annual 10k Trail Race and a 2k Family Fun Run on Sunday 21 June 2026. The approval is subject to the event organiser providing necessary paperwork, licences, health and safety documentation, insurance certificates, a traffic management plan, and payment of agreed fees and charges at least two weeks prior to the event.
