The board granted planning permission for the redevelopment of Morden Wharf, located off Tunnel Avenue, Greenwich, London SE10 0PA, subject to a Section 73 application for alterations to conditions attached to an extant planning permission. The board also granted full planning permission for the demolition of the existing building at 1-4 Beresford Square, Woolwich, SE18 6BB, to facilitate a mixed-use redevelopment. However, two items, Phases 3, 4 and 5 of Greenwich Millennium Village and Plots 501-503, Greenwich Millennium Village, were deferred.

Cabinet - Wednesday, 18th February, 2026 2.00 pm

The Cabinet meeting of Greenwich Council on Wednesday 18 February 2026 saw the approval of the Planning Enforcement Plan and the determination of admission arrangements for Royal Greenwich Schools for the 2027/28 academic year. Significant financial decisions were also made, including the approval of the Medium Term Financial Strategy for 2026/27 to 2029/30, which recommends a 2.99% increase in the borough element of council tax and a 2% Adult Social Care precept, alongside the adoption of the Treasury Management and Capital Strategy for 2026/27.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 9th February, 2026 6.30 pm

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee met on 09 February 2026 to discuss the Housing Revenue Account Medium Term Financial Strategy and budget and rent setting for 2026-27, and the Medium Term Financial Strategy 2026-27+. The committee considered proposals for rent increases, budget adjustments, and new savings and income initiatives.

Transport and Place Scrutiny Panel - Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026 6.30 pm

The Transport and Place Scrutiny Panel met on Tuesday 03 February 2026 to discuss the council's Jetties, Piers, Wharves and Dry Docks, and its Highways Infrastructure and Assets. The panel noted updates on both these key areas and made recommendations regarding the prioritisation of refurbishment over demolition in estate regeneration.
