The Welsh Harp Joint Consultative Committee meeting was scheduled to discuss the management plans for the Welsh Harp area from both the London Borough of Barnet and the London Borough of Brent. Updates were also anticipated from the Canal and River Trust and the Brent Catchment Partnership regarding community group activities.

Extraordinary Council, Council - Tuesday 7th July, 2026 7.00 pm

The Council of the London Borough of Barnet convened for an extraordinary meeting to confer the Honorary Freedom of the Borough upon five organisations in recognition of their exceptional service. The Council also held its ordinary meeting, during which various announcements were made, including congratulations to new parents and acknowledgements of deceased former councillors, and discussions took place on a range of important local issues.

The Council of the London Borough of Barnet convened for an extraordinary meeting to confer the honorary freedom of the borough upon five organisations in recognition of their exceptional service. In the subsequent ordinary meeting, councillors discussed a range of administrative matters, including proposed changes to committee meeting dates and memberships, and debated motions on domestic abuse in social housing and the defence of local democracy in planning decisions.
