The Environment, Flooding and Climate Change Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to discuss the council's financial strategy, its environmental performance, and its plans for climate resilience. The committee was also due to review the council's progress in meeting its environmental targets and consider future strategies for managing the local environment.

The Leicestershire County Council was scheduled to meet on 3 December 2025 to discuss a range of topics, including the annual delivery report, revisions to the council's constitution, and a number of notices of motion. The council was also expected to appoint a new Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service.

The Leicestershire County Council convened an extraordinary meeting to address the critical matter of local government reorganisation (LGR). The primary focus was to allow the County Council to comment on the proposals for LGR, with a supplementary report containing a draft Business Case also provided. Councillors were also expected to discuss the comments of the Scrutiny Commission on the proposals.
