The Cabinet decided to approve the draft West Suffolk Annual Report 2025 to 2026, subject to amendments, on 21/07/2026. The Cabinet also noted that changes will be required to the Housing, Homelessness Reduction and Rough Sleeping Strategy and Action Plan. Amendments include providing further clarity on temporary accommodation units, amending details on Thriving Communities Funding, providing weblinks for locality budgets, and including comparator data with 2024 to 2025.

West Suffolk Cabinet approved the write-off of outstanding debts on 21/07/2026. This included Council Tax totalling £51,631.96, Business Rates totalling £216,773.82, Housing Benefit overpayments totalling £11,049.75, and Sundry Debt totalling £17,285.76.

The Cabinet decided to approve recommendations regarding the Haverhill High Street enhancement project and the former HSBC building on 21/07/2026. They agreed to proceed with refurbishing the former HSBC building and implementing public realm schemes.

West Suffolk Council Cabinet approved the West Suffolk Cyber Security Strategy 2026 to 2028 on 21/07/2026. The strategy aims to minimise the likelihood and impact of cyber-attacks.

The Cabinet decided to approve recommendations regarding Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) in West Suffolk on 21/07/2026. The council will continue to monitor HMO supply, distribution, and impacts, reporting significant issues back to the Cabinet.
