The Scrutiny Committee meeting scheduled for 22 January 2026 was set to cover a range of significant council business, including a focused inquiry into water quality and supply issues, the draft revenue budget and capital programme for the coming years, and a detailed report on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision. The committee was also scheduled to review its work programme and address any items called in by members or placed on the agenda for discussion.

County Council - Thursday, 18th December, 2025 10.00 am

The Kent County Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, 18th December 2025, to discuss a range of issues, including the annual reports on the Armed Forces Covenant and Corporate Parenting, a review of committees, and a motion regarding the water supply in Tunbridge Wells. They will also discuss pension pooling arrangements and political assistants.

Planning Applications Committee - Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 10.00 am

The Planning Applications Committee is scheduled to meet to discuss a number of planning applications, including two applications relating to the proposed change of use of residential properties into children's homes. The committee will also note a number of items dealt with under delegated powers[^2].
