The County Council of Kent met on Thursday, 9 January 2025, to discuss the English Devolution White Paper. The council voted to endorse ongoing work with Medway Council and district and borough leaders to respond to the white paper, and to submit a request to the government for Kent and Medway to be included in the Devolution Priority Programme.

County Council - Thursday, 19th December, 2024 10.00 am

This meeting of Kent County Council included a wide range of transport proposals, a motion on aligning council decision making with the Integrated Care Strategy, and motions concerning electoral reform and environmental legislation. A report was also received on Corporate Parenting.

Member Development Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 10th December, 2024 11.00 am

The Member Development Sub-Committee meeting on December 10th 2024 was to consider a number of items relating to the induction and training of Councillors. The Sub-Committee was scheduled to review a provisional timetable of induction events for the new intake of Councillors in 2025. The Sub-Committee was also to discuss whether to introduce a formal system of Personal Development Planning for Councillors.
