Crime, Environment and Transport Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 15th April 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Crime, Environment, and Transport Scrutiny Commission met to discuss parking policy, sustainable transport, major projects and highways. Councillors reviewed updates to the borough's parking policy, examined the implementation of the sustainable transport strategy, and evaluated major transport and highway projects. The commission also reviewed and noted its work programme for the year.

Local Development Committee - Monday 7th April 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Local Development Committee was scheduled to meet on 7 April 2025, to discuss a planning application and confirm the minutes from a previous meeting. Councillor James Beckles, Local Development Committee Chair, was scheduled to chair the meeting.

Council - Monday 24th March 2025 7.30 p.m.

The Newham Council meeting on 24 March 2025 included discussions on belonging and inclusion in Newham, and the adoption of a reviewed statement of licensing policy. The council also agreed to provide Councillor Mohammed Gani with a dispensation for non-attendance at meetings until 20 October 2025 due to ill health.

Council - Thursday 27th February 2025 7.00 p.m.

Newham Council approved its annual budget for 2025/26 which included a council tax rise of 8.99%. Two amendments to the budget, one from the Newham Independent Group and one from the Green Group were rejected.

SACRE - Wednesday 26th February 2025 7.00 p.m.

The meeting was about approving the minutes from the previous meeting and considering the SACRE’s priorities for the year. The members were also scheduled to receive an update on the forum of faiths and the RE Matters programme.
