Tendring Cabinet decided to approve the Health and Wellbeing Draft Strategy for public consultation on 21/02/2025. Officers will initiate an eight-week consultation process and seek stakeholder comment, with the final strategy to be presented back to Cabinet for approval.

Cabinet noted the post-project review of Orwell Place and endorsed its learning points to inform future capital projects. Cabinet requested the Leader of the Council to document key messages from the review within the Council’s Annual Governance Statement. Cabinet invited Overview and Scrutiny Committees to consider including the review's outcome on their work programmes.

Cabinet decided on 21/02/2025 to accept £563,028 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. They approved allocations for business support, the Local Cultural Education Partnership Officer role, the Town Centre Manager Role, Extend the Season Events Grants, and Widening Participation Sports Grants. The remainder will be allocated via an open call for projects, with the Portfolio Holder authorised to approve grant assessment criteria and awards, and the Section 151 Officer authorised to sign grant agreements.

The Cabinet decided to support Colchester City Council's proposal for the future of Tendring Careline. This decision was made on 21/02/2025. The Cabinet agreed to the creation of a combined telecare service for North East Essex, with service users and staff transferring to Colchester Helpline, and agreed to an extension of Procurement Procedure Rules for casual call-handling support.

Tendring Cabinet adopted the Housing Asset Management Plan and the Asbestos Management Policy for its housing stock on 21/02/2025. The Corporate Director (Operations and Delivery) is authorised to make future updates or amendments to the policies in consultation with the Portfolio Holder responsible for Housing.
