The Council of Westminster will consider proposed amendments to the Members' Allowance Scheme and constitutional changes to the Policy and Scrutiny process. A notice of motion will also be debated, calling for clarity on the future of several key policies.

Council - Wednesday, 20 May 2026 - 7.00 pm

The Council met to elect a new Lord Mayor and Leader of the Council, and to approve the establishment and composition of its standing committees. Councillor Karen Scarborough was elected as the new Lord Mayor, and Councillor Paul Swaddle was elected as the new Leader of the Council. The Council also approved the establishment of its standing committees, their terms of reference, and the proportional allocation of seats to political groups.

Council - Wednesday 4th March, 2026 7.00 pm

The Council meeting on Wednesday 4th March 2026 saw the approval of the Council's budget for the upcoming financial year, including a proposed 2% increase in council tax for the adult social care precept. Significant capital investment plans were also approved, alongside updates to the Housing Revenue Account Business Plan and the Treasury Management Strategy. The Council also formally adopted changes to its Constitution and a new Code of Governance.
