South Holland Cabinet adopted the Housing Compensation Policy on 29 September 2026. The Cabinet approved recommendations to delegate minor operational amendments and legislative changes to the Service Director - Housing, and recommended to Council that the Service Director – Housing be authorised to approve compensation payments up to £2,000 in connection with complaints regarding the Council’s function as a social landlord.

South Holland Cabinet noted the forecast General Fund surplus of £17,000 and the HRA surplus of £1.588m for 2026/27. The Cabinet approved amendments to the General Fund Capital Programme and noted amendments to the HRA Capital Programme on 29/09/2026.

The Cabinet of South Holland Council agreed on 30 June 2026 to participate in the Local Authority Housing Fund Round 4 programme. This decision aims to acquire three properties for temporary and resettlement homes within the district. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Service Director of Strategic Growth & Development and the Portfolio Holder to finalise the Memorandum of Understanding with MHCLG.

South Holland Cabinet noted progress on the Tenant Engagement and Influence Strategy on 29 September 2026. Cabinet recognised the Tenant Influence Panel and tenant-led scrutiny, and provided feedback for the next strategy.

South Holland Cabinet on 29/09/2026 approved recommendations regarding the performance of the Housing Landlord Service for 25/26. Cabinet noted the Tenant Satisfaction Measure results and the Housing Landlord Service's year-end performance for 25/26.
