Cheltenham Cabinet decided for determination on 13/10/2026. The purpose was to consider a report and recommendations.

Cheltenham Borough Council Cabinet decided on 13 October 2026 to approve the revocation of existing smoke control orders and the declaration of a borough-wide smoke control order, subject to consultation and confirmation by the Secretary of State. The Director of Finance and Operations, in conjunction with the Director for One Legal, is authorised to confirm the new order.

Cheltenham Borough Council's Cabinet decided on 13/10/2026 to approve the budget-setting timetable and strategy for 2027/28. The Cabinet also noted the General Fund position for 2026/27 and endorsed continued work on the Medium-Term Financial Strategy through four savings pillars. The Section 151 Officer, Deputy Section 151 Officer, and Cabinet Member for Finance and Assets were requested to consider feedback from the Budget Scrutiny Working Group.

The Cabinet, Council decided on 14/07/2026 to note the General Fund revenue outturn position for 2025/26 as an underspend of £16,159 against the revised budget. They also approved the carry forward from 2025/26 into 2026/27 of Capital budgets as detailed in Appendix 8. The decision noted the General Fund carry forward requests, reserve movements, the Treasury Management Outturn report, the capital outturn position and financing arrangement, the Council Tax and Business Rates collection performance, and the Housing Revenue Account outturn position and capital programme.

Cheltenham Borough Council Cabinet noted the review report and performance report for the Corporate Plan 2025-2028. The decision was made on 14/07/2026. The council agreed to note progress made on the Corporate Plan's actions and performance indicators.
