The Council of Westminster will consider proposed amendments to the Members' Allowance Scheme and changes to the Council's Constitution regarding policy and scrutiny. A notice of motion will also be debated, calling for clarity on the continuation of key policies.

Council - Wednesday, 20 May 2026 - 7.00 pm

The Council met to elect a new Lord Mayor and Leader of the Council, and to approve the establishment and composition of its standing committees. Councillor Karen Scarborough was elected as the new Lord Mayor, and Councillor Paul Swaddle was elected as the new Leader of the Council. The Council also approved the establishment of its standing committees, their terms of reference, and the proportional allocation of seats to political groups.

Licensing Sub-Committee (3) - Thursday 23rd April, 2026 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee (3) of Westminster Council met on Thursday 23 April 2026 to consider three licensing applications. The committee granted a variation to the premises licence for The Lexington, allowing for extended hours and changes to the layout, and granted a new premises licence for Wetherspoons on Shaftesbury Avenue with amended hours and conditions. The application for Kozzee at 193 Wardour Street was adjourned for further consultation.

Rating Advisory Panel - Tuesday 21st April, 2026 9.45 am

The Rating Advisory Panel of Westminster Council met on Tuesday 21 April 2026. The primary focus of the meeting was to consider applications for National Non-Domestic Rate (NNDR) discretionary and hardship relief.
