The Cabinet of Gloucestershire Council decided to approve the commencement of an initial informal public engagement on the Spatial Development Strategy. This decision was made on 21 October 2026. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Director of Economy and Environment, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Business, Economic Development, Planning and Infrastructure, to agree communication and engagement materials prior to publication.

The Cabinet of Gloucestershire Council decided on 21/10/2026 to approve the draft Gloucestershire Local Area SEND Reform Implementation Plan 2026-2029. They delegated authority to the Director of Education to make necessary amendments for Department for Education endorsement and to accept the £21.781m Experts at Hand and Local Authority SEND Transformation Grant. Subject to grant receipt, they approved the transfer of up to £6.36 million to the Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board and delegated authority to the Executive Director of Children’s Services to deliver the plan, utilise grant funding, employ fixed-term staff, and fund local authority transformation and administrative activity.

The Gloucestershire Cabinet adopted the Supporting Gloucestershire’s Farming Businesses Strategy (2026 – 2030) on 21 October 2026. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Executive Director of Economy, Environment and Infrastructure, in consultation with the Lead Cabinet Member for Business, Economic Development, Planning and Infrastructure, to make minor amendments and updates to the strategy.

Gloucestershire Council's Cabinet decided on 21/10/2026 to approve the Digital Infrastructure, Inclusion & Innovation Strategy's delivery programme and budget commitments for 2026/27 and 2027/28. Authority was delegated to the Director of Economy and Planning to implement the plan, including refining delivery arrangements and conducting a procurement process for a countywide Digital Inclusion Service.

The Cabinet of Gloucestershire Council approved the adoption of Gloucestershire's Healthy Weight Strategy 2026-2036 on 21/10/2026. Authority was delegated to the Director of Public Health, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Health, regarding final publication design and minor non-material changes.
