The Planning Committee of Staffordshire Council approved the application by The Cabinet, Staffordshire County Council for a new bypass bridge and conversion of the existing Chetwynd Bridge to pedestrian and cycle use. The decision was made on 06 August 2026. The approved plans include a new two-span composite steel beam and concrete deck bridge, new road approaches, and the pedestrianisation of the existing Grade II\* listed Chetwynd Bridge.

The Charities and Trusts Committee of Staffordshire Council approved recommendations on 09/06/2026. The committee approved the updated Stafford 14-19 Partnership Business Plan 2024-2029 and the funding request for 2026-27 and 2027-28. The Assistant Director – Skills and Employability was authorised to approve the release of funds subject to the successful delivery of the 2026-27 business plan element.

The Charities and Trusts Committee of Staffordshire Council approved recommendations regarding the Nicholson Institute on 09 June 2026. The committee agreed to run a competition for a tenant for the lower ground floor, delay granting leases for the ground and first floors, approach the Charity Commission regarding governing document variations, and delegate approval of the business case and lease to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets.

The Charities and Trusts Committee of Staffordshire Council approved recommendations on 09/06/2026. The committee approved the grant of a lease of part of Dosthill playing field and recreation ground to the Fierte Multi-Academy Trust. They also approved an application to CISWO and the Charity Commission for consent to grant the lease and to delegate approval to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets to complete the final lease.

The Planning Committee of Staffordshire Council decided to approve recommendations on 04 June 2026. The decision was to vary Condition 14(e)(ii) of permission SCC/21/0070/FULL-ES to allow ten HGVs to enter or leave Saredon Hill Quarry between 06:00 and 07:00, and between 18:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday, and between 06:00 and 07:00 on Saturdays, until 31 December 2028.
