The Audit Committee of Aberdeenshire Council noted the Statement of Outstanding Business on 28 May 2026. Items 3 were to be discharged.

The Aberdeenshire Audit Committee agreed to the Internal Audit Update Report on 28/05/2026. The committee noted the progress of the Internal Audit Plan and management's implementation of audit recommendations. Five audits were finalised, and 19 audit recommendations were closed.

The Audit Committee of Aberdeenshire Council noted the sederunt and declaration of members' interests on 28/05/2026. Cllr Sutherland declared an interest in item 6 C (IA 2620) and would leave the meeting for that item.

The Aberdeenshire Audit Committee agreed to note the outcomes of completed internal audits on 28/05/2026. The committee reviewed reports on Teachers Payroll, EV Infrastructure, and the Levelling Up Fund.

The Aberdeenshire Audit Committee agreed to the Local Government Benchmarking Framework Overview Report and Improvement Plan 2024-25 on 28 May 2026. The Director was tasked with seeking additional information and clarification on specific issues from services. This includes explanations for high museum visit costs, the definition of "RCCT", suggestions for improving attainment for deprived pupils, more granular data on educational attainment and costs, and whether transport accessibility is considered in positive destinations data for school leavers.
