The Corporate and Resources Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council approved the Annual Corporate Performance and Service Improvement Report 2025/2026 and the annual Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman Code self-assessment 2025/2026 on 24 September 2026. The Portfolio Holder for Communities, Commissioning, Customer Contact & Governance will draft the governing body response required by the LGSCO.

The Corporate and Resources Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council decided on 24 September 2026 to approve recommendations regarding the Armed Forces Covenant. The committee resolved to write to the Minister for Veterans and People in support of the "Keep the Covenant Promise" campaign, call on the UK Government for improved statutory guidance and funding, and ask for a dedicated promotional campaign and thorough monitoring of the Covenant's impact. The council will also request effective means of redress where the Covenant Duty is not fulfilled and receive an update on Kingston's own delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Corporate and Resources Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council recommended to Council on 24 September 2026 that proposed amendments to the Council's constitution be approved. These amendments are required to ensure compliance with the Town and Country Planning (Discharge of Local Planning Authority Functions) Regulations 2026. The changes will update neighbourhood committee functions to remove references to planning applications and amend planning committee functions to reflect new delegation schemes and a gateway test.

The Corporate and Resources Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council resolved on 24 September 2026 to award the contract for cleaning services for Housing for Older People and Hostels to Bidder A. The contract will commence on 1 January 2027 for an initial term of three years, with options for two one-year extensions. Bidder A's Social Value Action Plan commitments will be incorporated into the contract.

The Corporate and Resources Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council approved recommendations on 24 September 2026. Authority was delegated to the Executive Director of Place to enter into legal agreements for a new Power of Attorney for named representatives of Cambridge Road (RBK) LLP and Vistry West London. This includes granting authority to sign documents for headlease surrender and declarations for Building Safety Regulator applications.
