Corporate Parenting Panel - Monday 29 September 2025 10.00 am
The Corporate Parenting Panel of Warwickshire Council met on Monday 29 September 2025 to discuss updates from the Voice, Influence & Change Team, Warwickshire's Children's Homes, performance data, future plans for WCC Children's homes, and the Adoption Annual Report. The panel was also scheduled to discuss the development of the work programme and items on the forward plan.
County Council - Tuesday 23 September 2025 10.00 am
The Warwickshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including petitions relating to local concerns, funding for bus services, highway improvements, and a declaration of a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) emergency. Councillors also debated motions on highways and investment in walking and cycling infrastructure.
Special Meeting, Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 22 September 2025 10.00 am
The Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a new flag policy and a compulsory purchase order (CPO) for the Wheat Street/Leicester Road area in Nuneaton. Staff and Pensions Committee - Monday 8 September 2025 10.00 am
The Warwickshire Council Staff and Pensions Committee met on 8 September 2025, and members reviewed the minutes of a previous meeting, received updates on pension fund regulations and administration, and discussed workforce-related issues. The committee approved extending occupational maternity pay for eligible operational staff of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS).
Pension Fund Investment Sub-Committee - Monday 8 September 2025 12.00 pm
The Warwickshire Pension Fund Investment Sub-Committee met on Monday to review the minutes of a prior Local Pension Board meeting, receive a governance report, and discuss the fund's risk policy. The sub-committee also received updates on the fund's investment strategy, climate scenario analysis, carbon footprint, and custodial services. Much of the meeting was held in private due to the discussion of exempt information.

The County Council of Warwickshire Council approved recommendations on 17/03/2026. The council resolved to establish a cross-party Member working group on supporting farmers and the rural economy. This group will bring forward recommendations to Cabinet covering the use of the rural support fund, engagement with rural community events, endorsement of farmers' markets, preparedness for the Crisis and Resilience Fund, investigation into the collapse of Warwickshire Rural Community Council, and promotion of the "Farm to Fork" initiative.
