Corporate Parenting Panel - Monday 17 November 2025 10.00 am

The Corporate Parenting Panel of Warwickshire Council met on 17 November 2025 to discuss updates from the Chair and Directors, updates from the Voice, Influence & Change Team, performance data, the Virtual School Head Report, the Fostering Annual Report, the Kinship Offer, and the development of the Work Programme and Items on the Forward Plan. Verbal updates were scheduled to be presented in relation to each of Warwickshire's Children's Homes.

Cabinet - Thursday 6 November 2025 3.00 pm

Warwickshire County Council's cabinet has approved the submission of a proposal for a single unitary authority to the government, following a full council debate on 14 October 2025. The proposal, detailed in Appendix 1 for Unitary Local Government in Warwickshire Submission of Full Proposals, will be submitted by 28 November 2025. The cabinet also addressed concerns and misconceptions raised during previous discussions, particularly those related to the financial implications and the impact on local communities.

Extraordinary Meeting, County Council - Tuesday 14 October 2025 11.00 am

The Warwickshire County Council met on Tuesday 14 October 2025 to discuss the significant reorganisation of local government within the county. Councillors debated and ultimately voted to recommend a single unitary council for Warwickshire as the optimum model for local governance, alongside supporting the establishment of town and parish councils and accepting full constituent membership of the West Midlands Combined Authority.

Extraordinary Meeting, County Council - Tuesday 14 October 2025 10.00 am

The Warwickshire County Council convened to bestow the title of Honorary Freeman of the County upon Councillor Jerry Roodhouse in recognition of his decades of public service. This rare honour, the highest civic distinction the council can award, acknowledges Councillor Roodhouse's significant contributions to the community, particularly in Rugby, and his work on behalf of Warwickshire at a national level. The council voted unanimously to approve the recommendation, and a ceremonial presentation will be arranged at a later date.
