The Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, 22 January 2026, was set to cover a wide range of strategic and operational matters for Doncaster. Key discussions were planned around the refresh of the Doncaster Delivering Together (DDT) City Borough Strategy, the annual report from the Director of Public Health focusing on LGBTQ+ communities, and the proposed diary of meetings for the next two years. Additionally, the appointment of committee chairs and vice-chairs, and an update on the work of the Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee were on the agenda.

Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 4th December, 2025 4.30 pm

The Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Panel were scheduled to meet to discuss education achievement outcomes for all key stages in 2025, as well as the overview and scrutiny work plan, and the council's forward plan of key decisions. The meeting was also scheduled to include a period for public statements.

Council - Thursday, 27th November, 2025 2.00 pm

The Doncaster Council meeting scheduled for 27 November 2025 included discussion of borrowing approval for the South Yorkshire Airport City project, the adoption of a revised licensing policy, and a review of councillor code of conduct breaches. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss committee seat allocations and the appointment of members to the Independent Remuneration Panel[^2].

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Thursday, 23rd October, 2025 4.00 pm

The Council of Doncaster Council scheduled an extraordinary meeting to be held on 23 October 2025. The main item on the agenda was a discussion of revisions to the appointment of chairs and vice-chairs of committees and sub-committees for the 2025/26 municipal year. This followed a requisition to convene an extraordinary meeting made by five Reform UK members of the council.

Council - Thursday, 18th September, 2025 6.00 pm

The Doncaster Council meeting on 18 September 2025 included discussion of a motion of no confidence in Mayor Ros Jones, which was not passed, as well as the approval of the Youth Justice Plan 2025/26 and noting the Health and Wellbeing Board's Annual Report 2024/25. Councillors also addressed public questions about flags on lampposts, the closure of Warmsworth Library, and IVF treatment availability.
